١٠٠٧ - عبد الغني بن الحافظ أبي العلاء الحسن بن أحمد بن الحسين العطار الهمذاني أبو محمد: ولد ببغداد وسمع أبا القاسم بن الحصين وأبا غالب بن البناء ونحوهما وبهمذان من الحافظ أبي جعفر محمد بن الحسن وعبد الملك بن مكي وبأصبهان جعفر بن عبد الواحد وأجاز له أبو علي الحداد. قرأت عليه ببغداد سنة إحدى وثمانين وخمسمائة قدم حاجّا. أخبرنا ابن الحصين فذكر حديثا ولد في المحرم سنة خمس عشرة وخمسمائةوتوفي بهمذان في رمضان سنة اثنتين وثمانين وخمسمائة.
