٧٠٤ - سليمان بن محمد بن ملكشاه بن ألب أرسلان بن داود بن ميكال بن سلجوق المدعو شاه: أخو مسعود. قدم بغداد زمن المقتفي وخطب له على منابر العراق بالسلطنة ونثر على الخطباء عند ذكره الدنانير ولقب «غياث الدنيا والدين» وأعطي الأعلام والكوسات وخرج متوجّها نحو الجبل ولقي ملكشاه بن محمود بن محمد وجرى بينهما حرب نصر فيها سليمان وعاد إلى بغداد بطريق شهرزور فخرج إليه عسكر من الموصل فمسكوه وحبسوه بها حتى مات بها.
