٦٧٧ - سعد الله بن نصر بن سعيد بن علي بن الدجاجي أبو الحسن الواعظ المقرئ (¬٢): قرأ بشيء من القراءات على الشيخ أبي منصور الخياط وعلى أبي الخطاب علي بن عبد الرحمن بن الجراح وسمع منهما ومن جماعة ووعظ سنين وأقرأ الناس. سمع منه عمر القرشي ويوسف بن أحمد الشيرازي وابن الأخضر، وحدثنا عنه ابنه محمد، وذكره ابن السمعاني في كتابه. ولد في رجب سنة اثنتين وثمانين وأربعمائة. وقال عمر القرشي: سنة ثمانين وهو الصواب وكذلك سمعت ابنه محمدا يقول: وتوفي في شعبان سنة أربع وستين وخمسمائة. (قلت: روى عنه موفق الدين بن قدامة ويعيش بن مالك الأنباري ومحمد بن عماد الحراني والأنجب الحمامي وجماعة).
