٣٩٩ - أحمد بن محمد بن الحسن العكبري ثم الواسطي أبو الحسن المقرئ: قرأ القراءات على أصحاب أبي علي أحمد بن محمد بن علان وأبي بكر الهرمزان وسمع الحسن بن موسى الغندجاني وجماعة وقدم بغداد وقرأ بهاعلى أبي الربيع سليمان بن أحمد السرقسطي ورزق الله التميمي وسمع أبا القاسم بن البسري وأبا إسحاق الفيروزآبادي الشيرازي وحدث ببغداد وببلده وأقرأ الناس وكان صالحا مفيدا. وهو الذي أفاد أبا طالب الكتاني وأسمعه وروى لنا عنه. وكان خميس الحوزي صديقه فلما مات رثاه خميس بقصيدة. توفي سنة سبع وسبعين وأربعمائة.
