٢٢٨ - محمد بن محمد بن حمود أبو الأزهر المقرئ الصوفي الواسطي: قرأ القراءات على أبي العز القلانسي وسمع منه ومن أبي نعيم الجماري وببغداد من أبي غالب بن البناء وأقرأ الناس مدة وحدث، قرأ عليه جماعة وسمعوا منه منهم صدقة ابن الحسين الواعظ وعمر بن علي القاضي وعمر بن يوسف ختن ابن الشعار. وحدثنا عنه عمر بن محمد بن أحمد الدينوري أن محمد بن إبراهيم الجماري أخبره سنة ثمان وتسعين. توفي أبو الأزهر بن حمود ببغداد في رجب سنة إحدى وسبعين وخمسمائة.
