١٨٢ - محمد بن علي بن فارس بن علي أبو الغنائم ابن المعلم الشاعر (¬١): من أهل واسط وهو أحد من سار شعره. أكثر القول في الغزل والمديح وشعره حلو في الأسماع صحيح المعاني، وهو من قرية تعرف بالهرث على عشرة فراسخ من واسط سمعت عليه بها وبواسط أكثر شعره. أنشدنا يمدح أبا غالب عبد الواحد بن مسعود بن الحصين: يا مبيح القتل في دين الهوى … أنت من قتلي في أوسع حل اغضض الطرف فنيران الهوى … لم تدع لي كبدا ترمى بنبل هبك أغليت وصالي ضنة … منك بالحسن فلم أرخصت قتلي؟ فلحبي لك أحببت الضنى … لست بالطالب برئي من معلي ولد سنة إحدى وخمسمائة وتوفي في رجب سنة اثنتين وتسعين بالهرث وهي مسكنه.
