٩ - محمد بن أحمد بن علي بن حمدي أبو الفرج بن أبي جعفر الزاهد أخو أبي المظفر أحمد: رجل صالح كثير العبادة، قرأ القراءات على أبي منصور بن خيرون وأبي محمد سبط الخياط وسمع بإفادة أخيه وبنفسه من ابن الحصين وأبي غالب بن البناء وجماعة، سمع منه من أقرانه ومن بعدهم أحمد بن صالح الجيلي وعلي بن أحمد الزيدي وعمر القرشي. ولد سنة ست عشرة وخمسمائة وتوفي في صفر سنة ثلاث وستين وكان يسرد الصوم.
