٣٩٧٦ - أبو عبد الله محمد بن إِسماعِيل بن إِبراهِيم بن المُغِيرَة، الجُعفِي، البُخارِي: سمع: أبا عبد الله محمد بن يُوسُف الفِريابِي، وأبا محمد عبد الله بن يُوسُف التِّنِّيسِي. رَوَى عنه: أبو عَلِيٍّ الحُسَين بن محمد بن نِيار القَبانِي، وأبو بَكر محمد بن ⦗١٦٦⦘ إِسحاق بن خُزَيمَة السُّلَمِي، وأبو محمد يَحيَى بن محمد بن صاعِد الهاشِمِي. كان أحد الأئمة في معرفة الحديث وجمعه، ولو قلتُ: إني لم أر تصنيفًا يفوق تصنيفه في المبالغة والحُسن، أو لم أسمع بآدَمِيٍّ يترول (¬١) في باب الحديث بمثله، رجوت أن أكون صادِقًا في قولي. نَسَبَهُ، وكَناهُ لَنا: محمد بن سُلَيمان بن فارِس.
