    ٣٢٠ - أبو أَيُّوب يَحيَى بن سعيد بن العاص، الأُمَوِي، القُرَشِي: سمع: أبا عبد الرَّحمَن مُعاوِيَة بن أبي سُفيان القُرَشِي، وأباه سعيد بن العاص الأُمَوِي. رَوَى عنه: أبو بَكر محمد بن مُسلِم (¬١) الزُّهرِي، والرَّبِيع بن سَبرَة بن مَعبَد الجُهَنِي. ⦗١٨١⦘ أخبرنا أبو العباس الثَّقَفِي، حدثنا الحَسَن بن عبد العزِيز الجَرَوِي، حدثنا يَحيَى بن حَسان، حدثنا عبد العزِيز بن الرَّبِيع بن سَبرَة، قال: سمعت أبي، أن يَحيَى بن سعيد قال لعُمَر بن عبد العزِيز: "يا أمير المؤمنين، أستعمل فُلانًا، قال: فأقبل عليه، فَقالَ: يا أبا أَيُّوب، إنا لا نلعب".
