    شرحبيل، والد عمرو «٣» : ذكره ابن قانع وبقي بن مخلد في مسندة، وهو وهم، فأخرجا من طريق أبي معشر، عن عبد الوهاب، عن عمرو بن شرحبيل، عن أبيه، عن جده، قال: جاء رجل فقال: يا رسول اللَّه، رجل وجد على بطن امرأته رجلا فضربه بالسيف ... الحديث. قلت: والضمير في قوله: عن جده يعود على عمرو لا على عبد الوهاب، فشرحبيلهو ابن سعيد بن سعد بن عبادة، والحديث لسعيد أو لأبيه سعد. وقد أخرجه أحمد في مسندة من مسند سعيد بن سعد بن عبادة، وساقه من طريق أبي معشر بهذا الإسناد.
