    ذكر وفاة قيطرمش بن عبد الله المستنجدي شحنة بغداد من أيام المستضيء إلى هذه السنة مات في هذه السنة، وكان شجاعًا مهيبًا وله هيبة عظيمة على المفسدين، وله معهم حكايات، وكانت بغداد في أيامه مثل المهد من الجانبين (¬٥). وقيطرمش بفتح القاف وسكون الياء آخر الحروف وفتح الطاء المهملة وسكون الراء وكسر الميم وفي آخره شين معجمة، وهو اسم تركي.
