    ٥٦٠ - بالى بن حاجى سيّدى الرّومىّ الإيدينىّ (¬***) أحد فضلاء الدولة العثمانيّة.قرأ على المولى خطيب زاده، وصار ملازما منه، وأخذ عن غيره من فضلاء تلك البلاد. وصار مدرسا بعدّة مدارس، وولى بالمدارس الثّمان مرتين، وولى قضاء بروسة مرتين. ومات وهو مدرس بإحدى الثّمان، فى اليوم الثانى من آخر الرّبيعين، سنة ثمان وعشرين وتسعمائة (¬١)، ودفن عند مسجده بمدينة قسطنطينيّة. وكان من المشهورين بالعلم والفضل فى الديار الروميّة، وكان عنده كتب كثيرة، أوقفها (¬٢) قبل وفاته على أولاده، ثم على طلبة العلم الشريف، وله «رسالة» متضمّنة للأجوبة عن إشكالات المولى سيّدى الحميدىّ. ***
