٣٤٦ - محمد (¬٥) بن إبراهيم، أبو عبد الله المهريّ البجّانيّ.رحل ولقي جماعة، وسمع بمصر، وولي قضاء بجاية. ودخل الأندلس وولي قضاء مرسية. وناب في قضاء مرّاكش. وكان علم وقته علما وكمالا وتفنّنا، يتحقّق بعلم الكلام وأصول الفقه حتى شهر بالأصولي. واعتنى بإصلاح «المستصفى» للغزاليّ. وامتحن بقرطبة سنة ثلاث وتسعين هو وأبو الوليد بن رشد محنتهما المشهورة من أجل نظرهما في علم الأوائل، فتحدّث النّاس بصبره في ذلك المقام وتجلّده وثبوت جأشه. وكفّ بصره بأخرة. أخذ عنه أبو محمد ابن حوط الله. توفّي في سنة اثنتي عشرة وستّ مئة في أحد العيدين. لم يذكر له سماع من أحد (¬١).
