٣١١ - محمد (¬١) بن عليّ بن محمد الطائيّ، أبو بكر الصّوفيّ السّبتيّ، يعرف بابن العربي. أخذ عن مشيخة بلده، ومال إلى الآداب، وكتب لبعض الولاة. ثم حجّ ولم يرجع. وسمع بتلك الدّيار من أبي القاسم ابن الحرستانيّ، وغيره. وروى عن السّلفيّ بالإجازة العامّة. وبرع في علم التصوّف، وله فيه مصنّفات كثيرة. لقيه جماعة من العلماء والمتعبّدين وأخذوا عنه. وتوفّي بعد الأربعين. قلت (¬٢): بل توفّي في ربيع الآخر سنة ثمان وثلاثين، وله عندي ترجمة بخسة، والله يرضى عنه ويرحمه إن كان مسلما!
