    ٢٧٩ - محمد (¬٣) بن أحمد بن مسعود بن عبد الرّحمن الأزديّ، أبو عبد الله [٣٣ أ] الشاطبيّ، يعرف بابن صاحب الصّلاة. أخذ عن أبي الحسن بن هذيل قراءة نافع، وسمع منه كثيرا من كتب أبي عمرو وأجاز له سنة ثلاث وستّين، وكتب بخطه علما كثيرا. واحتيج إليه. لم آخذ عنه لتسمّحه في الإقراء والإسماع، سمح الله له. ولد بشاطبة سنة اثنتين وأربعين، وتوفّي ببلنسية سنة خمس وعشرين وستّ مئة.قلت (¬١): قرأ عليه في سنة إحدى وعشرين أبو العبّاس أحمد بن محمد بن الغمّاز قاضي تونس. وعاش إلى سنة ثلاث وتسعين وستّ مئة، وقرأ عليه القرآن رضيّ الدّين الشاطبيّ وابن مسدي ولكنّه قال: إنه توفّي سنة اثنتين وعشرين وست مئة.
