٢٥٩ - محمد (¬١) بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن محمد بن العربيّ المعافريّ الإشبيليّ، من بيت القاضي أبي بكر، يكنى أبا بكر. أخذ ببلده قراءة نافع عن قاسم بن محمد الزقّاق. وحجّ، فسمع من السّلفيّ وغيره، ثم رحل ثانية سنة ستّ وتسعين إلى الشّام [٣٠ أ] والعراق، فلقي أبا أحمد بن سكينة ونحوه. ورجع، فأخذوا عنه بقرطبة وإشبيلية. ثم رحل سنة اثنتي عشرة. وتصرّف، وكان من الفضل والدّين والتواضع بمكان. توفّي بالإسكندريّة سنة سبع عشرة وستّ مئة.
