١ - [١ أ] جابر (¬١) بن محمد بن نام الحضرميّ النّحويّ، أبو أيوب الإشبيليّ. سمع من شريح بن محمد «الموطّأ» و «البخاري»، وأخذ علم العربيّة عن أبي القاسم ابن الرّمّاك وأبي الحسن بن مسلّم، وعني بها وتحقّق بمعرفتها، وقعد لإقرائها عن اتّساع باع واطّلاع. وكان يعرف «كتاب سيبويه». وأقرأ القراءات. توفّي سنة ستّ وتسعين، وقيل: سنة سبع وتسعين وخمس مئة، وقد جاوز الثمانين.
