أبو الحسن علي بن إسماعيل بن خلف بن سكين الإسكندراني سمع بالإسكندرية من الحاكم أبي عبد الله محمد بن عبد الرحمان بن محمد بن منصور الحضرمي. وحدث. وكان شيخا صالحا، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من ثغر الإسكندرية غير مرة. وسكين: بضم السين المهملة وفتح الكاف وسكون الياء آخر الحروف وبعدها نون.٣١٤٥ - وفي هذه السنة توفي الشيخ الأجل الأصيل
