أبو إسحاق إبراهيم ابن الشيخ المسند أبي طاهر بركات ابن الشيخ أبي إسحاق إبراهيم بن طاهر بن بركات بن إبراهيم بمقبرة باب الفراديس. سمع من والده ومن الحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن الدمشقي، وأبي المعالي عبد الله بن عبد الرحمان بن صابر السلمي، وأبي محمد عبد الرزاق بن نصر بن المسلم النجار وجماعة سواهم. ولنا منه إجازة، ولنا أيضا من والده إجازة، وقد تقدم ذكره. وهو من بيت الحديث، حدث هو وأبوه وجده. ومولده في يوم الاثنين ثاني عيد الأضحى سنة ثمان وخمسين وخمس مئة.٣٠٩٥ - وفي التاسع من شعبان ورد الخبر بوفاة الخليفة الإمام المستنصر بالله أمير المؤمنين
