أبو الحسن محمد ابن الشريف الأجل أبي جعفر عبد الله بن محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن أحمد ابن المهتدي بالله الهاشمي البغدادي العدل، ببغداد. ومولده في الحادي والعشرين من شهر رمضان سنة سبع وخمسين وخمس مئة ببغداد. سمع من أبي العز محمد بن محمد بن مواهب ابن الخراساني، وأبي عبد الله محمد بن نسيم العيشوني. وحدث. وهو من بيت مشهور بالرواية والعدالة والخطابة والتقدم، وفيه فضل وأدب.٣٠٧٥ - وفي ليلة الحادي والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول توفي الشيخ
