أبو إبراهيم إسحاق بن يعقوب بن عثمان المراغي الشافعي المنعوت بالجمال بالقاهرة، ودفن بسفح المقطم ويقال: إنه قارب الثمانين. ولد بمراغة، وتفقه بها على والده، وتفقه بالموصل على الكمال بن يونس، وانقطع إليه مدة وصحب شيخنا شيخ الشيوخ صدر الدين أبا الحسن ابن حمويه، وسمع معنا عليه، وأعاد له مدة، وولي التدريس بالجامع المعروف بالشافعية بثغر الإسكندرية مدة. وأعاد بالمشهد الحسيني -على ساكنه أفضل الصلاة والسلام- وبالمدرسة الفاضلية. وصنف تعليقا في الخلاف. وكان فاضلا.٣٠٢٤ - وفي الحادي والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الفقيه الأجل
