أبو الحسن علي بن غشم بن ربيع اللخمي المؤذن، بالقاهرة، ودفن من الغد. سمع بدمشق من قاضي القضاة أبي القاسم عبد الصمد بن محمد بن أبي الفضل الأنصاري، والعلامة أبي اليمن زيد بن الحسن الكندي، وأبي القاسم أحمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الصمد السلمي وغيرهم. وسمع بمصر من غير واحد. وحدث، وولي التأذين بالمدرسة الصاحبية بالقاهرة المحروسة إلى حين وفاته.٣٠٠٩ - وفي الثاني من صفر توفي الحاجب الأجل
