أبو التقى صالح بن خلف بن أحمد بن علي بن أحمد بن إسماعيل الجهني الشافعي المقرئ، بمدينة بلبيس، ودفن بها من يومه. قرأ القرآن الكريم على شيخنا أبي الجود غياث بن فارس المقرئ وغيره. وتفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي ﵁ وسمع من بعض المتأخرين وتصدر بالجامع الظافري بالقاهرة مدة. وحدث. وسئل عن مولده فذكر ما يدل على أنه سنة ست وسبعين وخمس مئة. وكان شيخنا صالحا محبا في الصالحين.٢٩٩٦ - وفي العاشر من ذي القعدة توفي الفقيه
