أبو القاسم عبد الرحمان بن أبي السعود محمد بن أبي المعالي محمد بن جعفر بن علي البصري، ببغداد، ودفن في مقبرة معروف الكرخي ﵁. ومولده سنة سبعين وخمس مئة. سمع أبا ماجد فياض بن أحمد القاضي، وأبا الحسين المبارك بن عبد الله وغيرهما من البصريين. وله إجازة من الكاتبة فخر النساء شهدة بنت الإبري وغيرها.٢٩٣٢ - وفي الرابع والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ الأصيل
