أبو الطاهر إسماعيل بن إبراهيم بن عثمان بن علي الصبري الجميلي الزفتاوي الشافعي المنعوت بالعفيف بمصر، ودفن من الغد بالقرافة. سمع من أبي القاسم هبة الله بن علي الأنصاري، وتفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي ﵁ وصحب جماعة من الشيوخ. وأدب الصبيان مدة، ثم انقطع في آخر عمره بقرافة مصر بضريح الإمام الشافعي ﵁ وكان أحد المقرئين بها، وكف بصره بأخرة. وحدث بشيء من شعره، وسئل عن مولده فقال: في ربيع الأول سنة خمسين وخمس مئة. والصبري: بفتح الصاد المهملة وسكون الباء الموحدة وبعدها راء مهملة. والجميلي: بفتح الجيم وكسر الميم.٢٩٣١ - وفي ليلة الرابع والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ
