أبو السر مكتوم بن أحمد بن محمد بن سليم بن مجلي القيسي السويدي الشافعي، ودفن بسفح جبل قاسيون. سمع من أبي عبد الله محمد بن علي بن صدقة الحراني، وأبي الفضل إسماعيل بن علي الجنزوي وجماعة سواهما. وحدث. وسئل عن مولده، فقال: في النصف من ذي الحجة سنة خمس وخمسين ⦗٤٨٤⦘ وخمس مئة بالسويداء. ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا غير مرة. والسويداء هذه: قرية من قرى حوران من أعمال دمشق. والسويداء أيضا: على ليلتين من المدينة -شرفها الله تعالى- نحو الشام. والسويداء أيضا: بلدة مشهورة من ديار مضر قرب حران، دخلتها وسمعت بها من قاضيها.٢٨١٩ - وفي الحادي عشر من رجب توفي الشريف الأجل
