أبو العباس أحمد بن سليمان بن حميد بن إبراهيم بن مهلهل القرشي المخزومي البلبيسي الشافعي المعروف بابن كسا، بالقاهرة. ومولده ببلبيس في سنة سبع وستين وخمس مئة. تفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي ﵁ وتأدب وقال الشعر، وسافر الكثير. وحدث بشيء من شعره ببلبيس وغيرها، وذكر أنه دخل دمشق واشتغل بها، وبالموصل وبغداد وخراسان، وأنه اجتمع بفخر الدين الرازي المعروف بابن الخطيب بخوارزم وكان له أنس بالنظريات والخلافيات.٢٧٩٩ - وفي العشر الأواخر من شهر ربيع الآخر توفي الشيخ
