أبو مروان محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الملك بن عبد العزيز بن عبد الملك بن أحمد بن عبد الله اللخمي الباجي ثم الإشبيلي الخطيب بإشبيلية، بمصر، ودفن من الغد. حدث بذروى من صعيد مصر عن أبي بكر محمد بن عبد الله بن الجد الفهري وغيره، وكان قدم من المغرب إلى عكا ومنها إلى دمشق وأنا بها، وتوجه إلى الحج وعاد إلى مصر فتوفي في ثاني يوم قدومه، ولم يتفق لي الاجتماع به. وكان من أعيان أهل ⦗٤٧٥⦘ الأندلس مشهورا بالصلاح والدين مقبلا على أمر آخرته فارا بدينه من الفتن راغبا عن صحبة أهل الدنيا.٢٧٩٨ - وفي شهر ربيع الآخر توفي الأديب
