أبو محمد عبد الرحمان بن حمدان بن أحمد الكناني التكريتي، بدمشق، ودفن من الغد بسفح جبل قاسيون. سمع بالموصل من أبي ياسر عبد الوهاب بن هبة الله بن أبي حبة. وسمع بدمشق ⦗٤٥٢⦘ من أبي الفضل إسماعيل بن علي الجنزوي، وأبي طاهر بركات بن إبراهيم الخشوعي، وغيرهما، وسمع الكثير، وكتب بخطه، وكان فاضلا خيرا. وحدث. وولي الحكم بالكرنك، القلعة المشهورة. ناب في الحكم العزيز بدمشق، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من دمشق في صفر سنة سبع وعشرين وست مئة. وحبة: بفتح الحاء المهملة وتشديد الباء الموحدة وفتحها وتاء تأنيث.٢٧٤١ - وفي ليلة الثالث والعشرين من جمادى الآخرة توفي الأمير الأجل الشجاع
