أبو القاسم علي بن أبي الفرج بن أبي منصور بن علي المعروف بابن البعقوبي، بالموصل. ⦗٤٤٦⦘ ومولده في ليلة النصف من شعبان سنة خمس وأربعين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي الفرج عبد المنعم بن عبد الوهاب الحراني وطبقته. وأجاز له الفقيه أبو محمد عبد القادر بن أبي صالح الجيلي، وأبو الحسن علي بن أبي سعد الخباز، وأبو الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وغيرهم. ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من الموصل في شوال سنة تسع عشرة وست مئة.٢٧٣٣ - وفي مستهل جمادى الآخرة توفي الصاحب
