أبو اليمن مسعود بن يرنقش بن عبد الله النجمي المنعوت بالبدر المعروف بأبي شامة بقلعة الشوبك، ودفن بظاهرها. حدث عن الأديب أبي الحسن علي بن محمد بن رستم المعروف بابن الساعاتي. ⦗٤٣٦⦘ سمعت منه، وسألته عن مولده، فقال: في ربيع الآخر سنة تسع وأربعين وخمس مئة بتكريت. وقيل: كانت وفاته في النصف من ربيع الأول من السنة.٢٧٠٦ - وفي ليلة الثامن من شهر ربيع الأول توفي الشيخ الفقيه
