أبو البهاء إدريس بن خضر بن إدريس بن محمد بن علي الهروي الأصل، السقباني المولد والمنشأ بسقبا -قرية من غوطة دمشق- ودفن بها. سمع من الحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن الدمشقي. وحدث. ولنا منه إجازة كتبت لنا عنه بقرية سقبا في جمادى الأولى سنة ثمان وعشرين وست مئة. وسقبا: بفتح السين المهملة وسكون القاف وبعدها باء موحدة مفتوحة وألف. -رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين-.
