أبو الحسن علي بن أحمد بن محمود الحنفي المنعوت بالعماد المعروف بابن الغزنوي، بالقاهرة، ودفن من الغد خارج. تفقه على مذهب الإمام أبي حنيفة ﵁ ودرس بالمدرسة التي بحارة زويلة بالقاهرة المحروسة مدة، ثم درس بالمدرسة التي بالسيوفيين إلى حين وفاته. كتبت عنه إنشادا بظاهر بلبيس. ومولده في شهر ربيع الأول سنة سبع وسبعين وخمس مئة.٢٦٥٥ - وفي الثاني والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الشيخ الأجل
