أبو حمزة وأبو طاهر أحمد بن عمر بن محمد بن أحمد بن قدامة المقدسي الحنبلي حفيد الشيخ أبي عمر المقدسي، بجبل قاسيون ودفن به. ومولده في رجب سنة تسع وستين وخمس مئة. حدث عن أبي السعادات نصر الله بن عبد الرحمان بن محمد القزاز، وأبي محمد ⦗٤٠٧⦘ عبد الخالق بن عبد الوهاب المالكي، وأبوي الفرج: عبد المنعم بن عبد الوهاب بن كليب، وعبد الرحمان بن علي ابن الجوزي، وغيرهم. ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من دمشق غير مرة.٢٦٣٤ - وفي ليلة الثالث عشر من شهر ربيع الأول توفي الفقيه الأجل
