أبو العباس أحمد بن أحمد بن إبراهيم بن أسد الدمشقي، ⦗٣٧٦⦘ بها، ودفن من الغد بسفح قاسيون. سمع بدمشق من الحافظ أبي القاسم علي بن الحسن الدمشقي. وسمع بمصر من أبي القاسم هبة الله بن علي الأنصاري. وحدث. ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من دمشق، وكتبت لنا عنه أيضا في شعبان سنة تسع وعشرين وست مئة.٢٥٥٩ - وفي ليلة العشرين من ذي الحجة توفي الشيخ
