أبو البقاء ثابت بن تاوان بن أحمد التفليسي الصوفي المنعوت بالنجم، بدمشق، ودفن من يومه بمقابر الصوفية. حدث عن الحافظ أبي الفرج عبد الرحمان بن علي البغدادي وغيره، وكانت له معرفة بالفقه والأصول والنحو واللغة وله شعر وترسل. وكانت له رياضات. وقدم مصر رسولا من الديوان العزيز -مجده الله تعالى- ولم يتفق لي الاجتماع به. وسمعت شيئا من شعره من بعض أصحابه. ⦗٣٦٧⦘ وتاوان. بتاء ثالث الحروف وبين الألفين واو مفتوحة وآخره نون.٢٥٣٠ - وفي الثالث والعشرين من جمادى الأولى توفي الفقيه الأجل الشريف
