أبو الحسن علي بن الحافظ أبي الفرج عبد الرحمان بن علي بن محمد بن علي بن الجوزي البغدادي، بها ودفن من الغد بباب حرب. ومولده بها في العشرين من شوال سنة إحدى وخمسين وخمس مئة. وقيل في شهر رمضان من السنة. سمع من والده. وسمع بإفادة والده من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وأبي القاسم يحيى بن ثابت بن بندار، وأبي زرعة طاهر بن محمد بن طاهر، وأبي بكر أحمد بن المقرب، وفخر النساء شهدة بنت أبي نصر الكاتبة، وغيرهم. وحدث. وتكلم في الوعظ ثم تركه، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا من بغداد ⦗٣٥١⦘ غير مرة، إحداهن في شهر ربيع الآخر سنة تسع عشرة وست مئة. وقد تقدم ذكر والده.٢٤٩٠ - وفي أوائل شوال توفي الشيخ
