أبو محمد عبد المنعم بن عبد الرحمان بن علي المقدسي الأصل، المصري المولد والدار الصوفي المعروف بابن الجزار، بمصر، ودفن على شفير الخندق بقرب كافور الإخشيدي. صحب جماعة من الصالحين. وكانت له بداية حسنة، وقبول، وكان له زاوية بمصر يجتمع فيها الفقراء، ورأيته في مجلس أبي الحسن علي بن إبراهيم بن نجا الدمشقي الواعظ (بقرافة مصر يحصل له الوجد ويقف قائما، وكان خيرا حسن البشر) ⦗٣٠٣⦘ ومضى على سداد وأمر جميل. والجزار: بالجيم والزاي وآخره راء.٢٣٨٠ - وفي شهر ربيع الأول توفي الفقيه الأجل
