أبو الحسين يحيى بن عبد المعطي بن عبد النور المنعوت بالزين الزواوي النحوي الحنفي ⦗٢٩٣⦘ بالقاهرة ودفن من الغد على شفير الخندق بقرب الإمام الشافعي –﵁. ومولده سنة أربع وستين وخمس مئة. سمع من الحافظ أبي محمد القاسم بن علي بن الحسن الشافعي، وغيره. وله في العربية تصانيف مفيدة، وأقرأ الناس بدمشق مدة ثم قدم مصر وتصدر بالجامع العتيق بها إلى حين وفاته. ولنا منه إجازة، كتب بها إلينا من دمشق غير مرة إحداهن في جمادى الأولى سنة ست وعشرين وست مئة.٢٣٥٨ - وفي ذي القعدة توفيت
