أبو محمد عبد السلام بن أحمد بن نجم الحميري الشافعي (الضرير) المنعوت بالمعين، بمصر، ودفن بسفح المقطم. تفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي –﵁ على شيخنا الفقيه البهاء أبي الحسن علي بن هبة الله الشافعي، وانقطع إليه مدة، وتخرج به، وحصل طرفا صالحا من الفقه، وسمع معنا من بعض شيوخنا. وتصدر بالجامع العتيق بمصر.٢٢٧٥ - وفي ليلة السادس والعشرين من المحرم توفي الشيخ
