أبو الحسن علي بن بكمش بن يزال البغدادي النحوي المعروف بالفخر التركي، بدمشق، فجاءة. ⦗٢٤٩⦘ ومولده سنة ثلاث وستين وخمس مئة. سمع ببغداد من الحافظ أبي بكر محمد بن موسى الحازمي. وذكر أنه سمع من أبي الفتح عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن نجا بن شاتيل، وأبي منصور عبد الله بن محمد بن عبد السلام، وأبي الفرج عبد المنعم بن عبد الوهاب بن كليب. وسمع بدمشق، وحدث بها. وقدم مصر، وما علمته حدث بها. ورأيته بها ولم يتفق لي السماع منه. وكان مشهورا بمعرفة النحو. وله شعر. وصنف في العروض تصنيفا.٢٢٥٤ - وفي العاشر من شهر رمضان توفي القاضي
