أبو الحسن علي بن ثابت بن طاهر البغدادي النعال الحذاء، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب. سمع من أبي المكارم المبارك بن محمد بن المعمر الزاهد، وغيره. وحدث. وكان شيخا صالحا، حافظا لكتاب الله الكريم، مشتغلا بنفسه يأكل من كسب يده. ولنا منه إجازة، كتبت لنا عنه من بغداد.٢٢٤٢ - وفي الثالث عشر من جمادى الأولى توفي السلطان الملك
