أبو الحسن علي بن مظفر بن علي بن نعيم السلامي التاجر المعروف بابن الحبير، بمكة -شرفها الله تعالى-، ودفن بالمعلى. ومولده في سنة ست وأربعين وخمس مئة. سمع من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وغيره. وحدث. وكان شيخا متدينا حسن الطريقة، تولى النظر في المسجد الحرام ومصالح الكعبة -شرفها الله تعالى- من قبل الديوان العزيز -مجده الله تعالى- وأقام بمكة إلى حين وفاته. ⦗٢٤٢⦘ والحبير: بضم الحاء المهملة وفتح الباء الموحدة وسكون الياء آخر الحروف وبعدها راء مهملة. وقد تقدم ذكر أخيه أبي زكريا يحيى بن مظفر.٢٢٣٤ - وفي الرابع من صفر أيضا توفي الشيخ
