أبو يحيى مسعود بن عبد الله بن سعد بن عبد الله البغدادي الظفري العطائي الخياط، ببغداد، ودفن بباب أبرز. ومولده في رجب سنة سبع وأربعين وخمس مئة. حدث عن أبي الفضل عبد الملك بن محمد بن علي الهمذاني. ولنا منه إجازة، كتب بها إلينا من بغداد في المحرم سنة ثلاث وعشرين وست مئة. وكان شيخا صالحا حافظا للقرآن الكريم متعبدا يأكل من كسب يده. وكان يسكن الظفرية: المحلة المشهورة ببغداد. وكان جده سعد بن عبد الله من موالي ابن عطاء فنسب إليه.٢٢١٧ - وفي الثاني عشر من ذي الحجة توفي الشيخ
