أبو إبراهيم، ويقال: أبو الغلاب، رسن بن يحيى بن رسن النيلي الكتاني، وقد نيف على الثمانين، ببغداد، ودفن بمشهد باب التبن. سمع من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وأبي الفضل منوجهر بن محمد ابن تركان شاه. وحدث. ولنا منه إجازة. ورسن: بفتح الراء وفتح السين المهملتين وآخره نون. وهو منسوب إلى النيل -بكسر النون وسكون الياء آخر الحروف وبعدها لام- وهي بليدة قريبة من الحلة المزيدية. وفي الرواة: النيلي: منسوب إلى بيع النيل، غير واحد. والكتاني: بفتح الكاف وتشديد التاء ثالث الحروف وبعد الألف نون.٢١٨٦ - وفي ليلة الرابع عشر من صفر توفي الشيخ الأجل
