أبو محمد إسماعيل بن إبراهيم بن محمد، الشهرستاني الأصل، البغدادي المولد والدار، الصوفي المقرئ، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بمقبرة معروف الكرخي –﵁. سمع من أبي الفتح محمد بن عبد الباقي بن أحمد، وأبي القاسم يحيى بن ثابت ابن بندار، وأبي بكر عبد الله بن محمد ابن النقور، والنقيب الطاهر أبي عبد الله أحمد بن علي بن المعمر العلوي، وأبي محمد بن عبد الله بن منصور الموصلي، وأبي بكر عتيق بن عبد العزيز بن علي بن صيلا، وغيرهم. وحدث ببغداد، والموصل، وإربل، ولنا منه إجازة كتب بها إلينا في رجب سنة أربع عشرة وست مئة.٢١٤١ - وفي ليلة الخامس عشر من المحرم توفي الشيخ الصالح
