أبو محمد عبد الله بن إبراهيم بن محمد بن علي، الهمذاني الخطيب الشافعي، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بالشونيزي. ومولده بهمذان في سنة خمس وأربعين وخمس مئة. سمع بهمذان من أبي الوقت عبد الأول بن عيسى، ومن أبي الفضل أحمد بن سعد بن حمان البيع الهمذاني وغيرهما. وتفقه ببغداد بالمدرسة النظامية على مدرسها الإمام أبي الخير أحمد بن إسماعيل القزويني المنعوت بالرضي ومن بعده مدة. وأعاد بالمدرسة النظامية للشيخ أبي طالب صاحب الشيخ أبي الحسن ابن الخل ومن بعده. وحدث. وكان ورعا عفيفا صالحا عارفا بالمذهب والأصول والخلاف. وكان والده خطيبا في بعض نواحي همذان.٢٠٦٣ - وفي الثاني عشر من شعبان توفي الشيخ
