أبو سعد عبد الرحمان ابن الشيخ أبي العباس أحمد بن المبارك بن سعد بن الفرج، البغدادي المعروف والده بالمرقعاتي، ببغداد، ودفن من الغد بباب حرب. ومولده تقريبا سنة ثلاث وخمسين وخمس مئة. سمع من والده، ومن أبي القاسم يحيى بن ثابت بن بندار، وأبي طالب المبارك بن علي بن محمد بن خضير الصيرفي، وأبي الحسين عبد الحق بن عبد الخالق بن يوسف. ووالده أبو العباس أحمد سمع من غير واحد، وحدث.٢٠٥٢ - وفي التاسع من رجب توفي الشيخ
