أبو الفوارس مقدام ابن القاضي الأجل أبي العباس أحمد بن شكر المنعوت بالفخر، بالقاهرة، ودفن من الغد بسفح المقطم بقرب قبر عقبة بن عامر الجهني –﵁. ومولده سنة إحدى وستين وخمس مئة. تفقه على مذهب الإمام أبي عبد الله مالك بن أنس –﵁ وسمع من أبي يعقوب بن هبة الله بن الطفيل، والقاضي أبي محمد عبد الله بن محمد ابن المجلي ⦗١٢٦⦘ الرملي، وغيرهما. وكان مكرما للفقهاء والفقراء، محبا لأهل الصلاح والعفاف.١٩٩٣ - وفي شعبان توفي الزمام
