أبو المحاسن عبد الله بن حماد بن ثعلب الضرير البغدادي، ببغداد، ودفن بباب حرب. سمع من أبي الحسين عبد الحق بن عبد الخالق بن يوسف، وفخر النساء شهدة بنت الإبري، وأبي الفتح عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن شاتيل، وأبي العلاء محمد بن جعفر بن عقيل، وغيرهم. وحدث. وفي سماعه القديم "محاسن بن حماد بن ثعلب" فرجع يكتب "أبو المحاسن عبد الله" بأخره. وثعلب: بثاء مثلثة وعين مهملة.١٩٨٢ - وفي ليلة الخامس من رجب توفيت الشيخة الصالحة
